Ageism in Thai Schools

I have to agree that there seems to be a bias towards young teachers here in Thailand. I was interviewed by two agents, both under 30, who told me I was too old at 57. I have 23 years experience as an international training manager and country training manager, also experience of 38 countries. I've hired and fired more teachers than they've had birthdays. It seems entertainment is the key, make the kids happy, play games and sing songs, and you wonder why their vocabulary is so poor! I have a good job at a local school of high repute who will not contract agents and prefer mature teachers as in the words of the head teacher - they get results.
