Samut Prakan Squad 2021/22
Samut Prakan's playing squad for the 2021/22 season
There are a lot of new faces for the upcoming campaign. Here are their shirt numbers and positions, etc.
(2021/22) Nongbua Pichaya v Samut Prakan
An away trip to one of last season's promoted clubs, the division two champions in fact.
Along with away to Khon Kaen United, the trip to Nongbua Pichaya was one I was looking forward to most of all. But sadly, the North East adventure will have to wait for another season, trusting that The Gamecocks manage to survive in the top flight of course.
(2021/22) Chiang Rai v Samut Prakan
We start the 2021/22 season where we ended the last one - The Singha Chiang Rai Stadium
With Samut Prakan currently classed as a 'dark red' zone (with the highest level of Covid restrictions) the home game with Chiang Rai has been switched to our opponent's ground in the north, on account of it being 'safer' up there.
2021/2022 Fixtures
Can Samut Prakan improve on a 6th place finish in both of their first two seasons?
Thirty Thai Premier League games plus FA Cup and League Cup.
(2020/21) Chiang Rai v Samut Prakan
It's our last match of a long season as we journey north to take on The Beetles.
The season started with a home game against Chiang Rai on February 14th, 2020. And we end the season 13 months later with the same opponents.
(2020/21) Chonburi v Samut Prakan
Our penultimate away game of the season as we take on The Sharks of Chonburi
Two weeks of the season remain and we make the short journey south-east to take on Chonburi. Can we end the season with a flourish after two successive home defeats?
(2020/21) Samut Prakan v Buriram
Just four games of the season remain and we start with the mighty Buriram at home
We beat Buriram 3-1 at the Thunder Castle at the end of November. It might be too much to ask to do the double over them, but I'm sure we'll give it a go.
(2020/21) Nakhon Ratchisima v Samut Prakan
A tricky midweek trip to Nakhon Ratchisima, a team in very decent form.
Could we follow up a comfortable 4-0 home win against struggling PT Prachuap with another three points away at Nakhon Ratchisima, unbeaten in their last 8 games?
(2020/21) Samut Prakan v Muangthong United
Could we follow up Saturday's win at Rayong with three home points against The Kirin?
This will be our third meeting with Muangthong this season following a goalless league encounter and a 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup.
(2020/21) Samut Prakan v Police Tero
Our first home game of 2021 as we welcome Police Tero to Bang Plee
When we played away to Police Tero at the beginning of this very long season, they were riding high at the top of the table and Samut Prakan were near the bottom. How the situation has changed!
