Head Basketball Coach

In August 2023, we began our first basketball academy to complement our already well-established Football and Swim academies and offer more sporting opportunities for our students. Our founding head coach has done an excellent job of establishing our academy, and two years on, we are seeking a new, highly qualified and experienced Head Basketball Coach to take over the reigns of our Basketball Academy programme.

The Head Coach will ensure high-quality Basketball sessions are delivered to boys and girls during our extracurricular activities programme (15:30-16:20) and during academy sessions (16:30-18:00) as well as Saturday mornings.
The Head Coach will be a proven leader of people and teams who can inspire and motivate their staff and work closely and effectively with other stakeholders in the school.

With the school recently joining the FOBISIA federation, we will be looking for the new Head Coach to lead teams' participation in competitions and events outside of Phuket, organising residential trips for our students.

The role will entail working across both campuses and, in particular, leading the expansion of the programme at our new facility in Cherngtalay.

The Head Coach works closely with the two other Academy Head Coaches and reports to the Director of Sport, who has oversight of all PE and Sporting programmes in the school.

We are looking for a highly committed team player with drive, energy and passion, who will inspire a love of learning within their pupils. A good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic are essential.

Requirements / Application Details –

Essential Requirements:

-Experience of coaching children between the ages of 9 and 18
-Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
-A relevant basketball coaching qualification
-Experience of leading a basketball programme/teams of people
-Must be a fluent English speaker
