High School English Teacher

Are you a passionate and responsible native English speaker with a desire to teach in Thailand? We’re looking for enthusiastic educators to join our team at a government high school in Surin Province, known for its warm community and rich culture. Positions are available from May 14th 2025!

About the Role
- Teaching Focus: Emphasis on speaking and listening skills using student textbooks.
- Activities and games aligned with textbook topics are encouraged.
- Some classes (MEP and M4–M6) require additional focus on reading and writing, as well as exam preparation.
- School Hours: 07:30-16:30, subject to minor changes
- Teaching Load: 20–24 periods per week (50 minutes each). Occasional cover classes may be requested. Any teaching beyond 24 periods will be paid additionally.


Support Provided
- Guidance and training from both Thai and foreign managers.
- Activity ideas and teaching resources for all age groups.
- Ongoing professional development and assistance.


What We’re Looking For
- Native English speakers from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Prior teaching experience is required.
- TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent teaching certification is strongly preferred.
- Enthusiastic, culturally adaptable, and reliable individuals.


Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: 33,000 THB
- End-of-Contract Bonus: 10,000–20,000 THB
- Additional Pay: For teaching over 24 lessons/week
- Health Insurance: Company-sponsored
- Work Permit: Full support with financial assistance

Living in Surin
A standard apartment near the school costs around 4,000–8,000 THB/month.
Meals at local restaurants typically cost 40–60 THB.
Surin, located around 450km from Bangkok, is renowned for its annual Elephant Festival, showcasing the region’s deep bond with elephants. The city features rich Khmer cultural heritage, nearby ancient ruins, and traditional silk weaving. Surin offers authentic Thai experiences, vibrant local markets, and a strong connection to Isan culture and cuisine.
