The English Program at Patumwan Demonstration School is actively recruiting science teachers for various subjects such as chemistry and general science. The school offers excellent classroom amenities, laboratories, and a comprehensive set of resources. The academic year begins in May of 2025.The minimum requirements for the successful candidate are as follows:
A bachelor’s degree in science.
A native English speaker.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
A permanent or temporary license established with the Teacher's Council of Thailand.
At least two years of teaching experience.
A criminal record check will be required as part of the hiring process.
The ideal candidate should:
Be familiar with several topics in the content areas of chemistry and general science. These topics will be taught at at both the lower and upper mathayom levels (ages 12-17).
Be able to teach some general science courses.
Be able to develop and conduct appropriate laboratory activities that reinforce learning in these areas.
Have experience in basic lab management including organization, cleanup, safety, and storage.
Possess strong classroom management skills and have a familiarity with Google Workspace for Education.
Expect to participate in school activities. Teachers are also assigned as classroom advisors, with duties that include assembly and hall monitoring, exam proctoring, and annual activities, such as sports days, field trips, and parents’ meetings.
The teaching schedule will be no more than 18 periods of 50 minutes each week. The teacher will be responsible for daily lesson planning, developing curriculum, and collaborating with other teachers within the program.
Benefits include:
A starting salary of 67,000 Baht per month (however, this may be higher depending on the candidate’s educational level and experience)
