SBS International School Bangkok is the latest school in the Arthit Ourairat Institution, a group of 4 successful international and bilingual schools in Thailand. The school will open to receive the first student cohorts in August 2025, with a view to reaching full capacity after 3-5 years. We are seeking to appoint capable and experienced colleagues who align with our mission to provide an education driven by academic excellence, holistic wellbeing and passion for learning. Our teachers must be multi-skilled in ‘reaching’ as well as ‘teaching’ students in a forward thinking and progressive environment. The successful applicant will be in a pioneering and unique position to develop their role and specialism as the school embarks on an exciting journey to establish itself as a premium provider of international education in Thailand. We anticipate rapid career development for teachers who show flair, resilience and determination for the school to evolve as a flourishing community for all stakeholders.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of education in a well established schools group in Thailand (The Arthit Ourairat Institution). The SBS International campus is situated in Lat Krabang in the second largest district of Bangkok, and close to Suvarnabhumi Airport which is one of the biggest international airports in Southeast Asia and a regional hub for aviation. Lat Krabang is a prime area for economic and urban development but retains its rural charm with quick and efficient links to the city centre. There are excellent transport links servicing the Lat Krabang area, including the high speed airport rail link to the city centre.

Primary/Early Years teachers are expected to facilitate high quality play and inquiry based learning in line with curriculum requirements. Specifically:
Teaching and Learning
1. Demonstrate a secure knowledge of the different stages of child development and how young children learn, to inspire high levels of student curiosity and engagement and support exceptional learning outcomes.
2. In collaboration with colleagues, plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons based on the Cambridge Primary/Early Years framework to deliver authentic learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom that support challenge and extend student learning.
3. Implement child-initiated learning and play-based activities to promote active engagement and exploration among young children.
4. Ensure the sequencing of learning in line with the different stages of child development by appropriately differentiating learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of all children.
5. Demonstrate high expectations for student learning, using observations and other formative assessments to monitor and record children's progress and inform future planning and interventions.
6. Develop individualised learning plans for each child based on their unique interests, needs, and abilities.
7. Collaborate effectively with specialist teachers and support staff to personalise learning for all students, including those with additional needs, English as an additional language and more able learners to ensure an inclusive approach that meets the diverse needs of all children.
8. Create and plan opportunities to celebrate our international and diverse community, reflecting on the impact the students can have on our school community and across Thailand and the wider world.
9. Maintain accurate records of children's progress including observations, assessments, attendance records etc., in accordance with school policies.
10. Collaborate with other teachers and support staff. Analyse and interpret data from internal and formative assessments to evaluate learning and teaching, identify interventions and modify teaching practice as a result.
11. Share progress and attainment with parents through parent teacher meetings, written reports and via the school’s online learning platform.
12. Ensure technology is integrated into planning and delivering lessons where it can enhance teaching and learning.
13. Meet all obligations relating to the administration and delivery of the curriculum, including:
o fulfilling timetable commitments.
o maintenance of assessment records.
o writing of reports.
o attendance at Parents Meetings.
o meeting all deadlines.

1. Promote the safety and wellbeing of students in accordance with the school’s Child Protection guidelines and in line with the positive behaviour approaches and practices.
2. Establish clear expectations for behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

4. Foster positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning community around the child.
5. Effectively manage Teaching Assistants (TAs) both on a day-to-day basis and in the planning process. Oversee and coordinate the activities of TAs within the classroom setting, ensuring their effective integration into lesson plans and daily activities. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among TAs and work closely with them to enhance the overall learning experience for our students.
6. Promote a love of learning by creating an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, creativity, and independent thinking and enables students to flourish.
7. Believe strongly in every student's potential and the important role teachers play in ensuring their wellbeing.
8. Identify opportunities for students to develop as global citizens, building their intercultural understanding of and respect for others from different cultures and communities.

2. Maintain an active interest in educational research, innovative pedagogy, best practices in early childhood education to better inform planning and assessment and support the learning and wellbeing of all students.

Secondary School teachers are expected to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students:
Teaching and Learning
1. Facilitate teaching approaches, inspirational lessons and active learning strategies that engage, enrich and motivate students.
2. Fulfil curricular obligations eg develop agreed schemes of learning, understand the requirements of examination syllabi, and meet assessment deadlines.
3. Fulfil teaching and learning obligations for timetabled classes to include:
● maintenance of assessment records
● writing of reports
● attendance at Parent Meetings
● participate in arrangements for preparing students for external examinations
4. Maintain good order and positive discipline among students in accordance with the school’s Behaviour for Learning policy eg with regards to punctuality, behaviour, compliance etc.
5. Ensure that differentiated teaching and learning practices are embedded within lessons to meet the needs of all students.
6. Liaise with the Learning Support team and English Language Acquisition team as appropriate regarding student progress.
7. Ensure that Assessment for Learning strategies are used effectively in lessons to support the progress of learners and provide feedback to inform teaching and learning.

Qualifications:
• Education Degree in a relevant field
• Professional Teaching qualification/licence/certification as applicable
• Preference will be given to those holding a Master’s degree.
