Due to ongoing growth in enrolments, TSI International school is currently seeking a well-qualified Physical Education teacher to join our Bearing Campus (secondary school).

Our large Bearing Campus includes an array of sporting facilities including an expansive sports hall, full-size grass football field, two outdoor basketball courts, a tennis court and 25m swimming pool.

DETAILS OF THE POSITION:

1) CONTRACT DURATION: The contract will begin ASAP and conclude in July 2025 (nearly 2 years).

2) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan, develop and effectively teach PE units aligned to the UK national curriculum from Years 7 through 13.
- Play an active role in leading ECA clubs Monday-Thursday between 2:30-3:30pm.
- Deliver high quality sporting opportunities for students including effective coaching in Basketball and Football.
- Coach and manage sports teams through our GBAC participation.

3) QUALIFICATIONS

- Applicants for the teaching position must be qualified with at least a Bachelor Degree major in Education OR a Bachelor Degree related to Physical Education or Sport Science and a postgraduate teaching certificate (PGCE or Dip. Ed. equivalent). They must be certified to teach in their own country.

4) EXPERIENCE:

- At least 2 years’ experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
- Coaching experience in a range of sports including, Football, Basketball and Athletics.

5) HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

- Previous experience in an international school (preferably in Bangkok).
- Ability to teach swimming and athletics.
- Additional qualifications and/or recent professional development
- Sound knowledge of modern approaches
- Pedagogy style – students as active and independent learners
- Share our holistic approach to PE and sports. Participation is more important than winning (although our students often do!).

6) BENEFITS:

- salary of 40,000 baht/month

Since changing management in 2017, TSI International School has gone through a massive renewal process. A new building is due to open at our Bearing Camus in August 2025.
