Experienced NES Primary Teacher for Immediate Start

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an imaginative, flexible and resourceful teacher who has experience in preparing students in upper Primary (ages 8 - 11 years old) for mainstream classes. The programme will be for students who have developing English language skills that are insufficient to allow them access to our mainstream Cambridge International Primary Curriculum. By providing intensive small group instruction to support their English learning , they will be able to enter mainstream classes after reaching a level of proficiency based on NFER scales.

We require a native English-speaker with English Language teaching experience and teaching qualifications to assist in setting up this provision. We have recently started a similar initiative for our students in secondary school. The coordinator of this existing programme will be the line manager for this new position.

The successful applicant will have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop this programme. All candidates will need to be creative , self motivated and able to plan for long term developments as the school grows. A proven track record of assisting students with developing English is essential.

Minimum requirements:

- An Undergraduate Education Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience teaching in the Primary school years
- Native English speaker.
- Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
