Job responsibilities:
• be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in PE
• make an impact on the experience young people receive through PE and sport
• ensure lessons are planned in accordance with school’s expectations
• assess, record, report on progress / attainment of pupils
• prioritise and manage time effectively, ensuring continued professional development in-line with the role
• contribute to a full and extensive extracurricular programme
• manage, coach and officiate sport teams (predominantly swimming and football)
• teach according to students’ educational needs
• have a clear vision / focus
• be passionate about the subject and communicate well with young people
• maintain discipline in accordance with school procedures
• ensure a high quality learning environment
• act within the school frameworks, which sets out their professional duties and responsibilities
• Organise inter-school competitions and host sports events at the school.
Our ideal candidate will:
• hold a teaching qualification such as PGCE, BEd, MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or other applicable international qualifications
• hold a relevant Physical Education Degree or a related subject
• have experience of delivering Physical Education to Primary-aged children
• have qualifications to effectively coach our swimming programmes
• have a love and passion for education.
