Supply Teacher for January 2022

Posted

Supply Teacher – January 2022 onwards

We are looking for supply teachers for daily and possibly longer term contracts in the following subject areas: English, including EAL, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Business Studies.

Class sizes are small and the students are motivated and enthusiastic, enjoying a lively approach to their subjects through a wide range of teaching and learning techniques. The ideal candidates will convey enthusiasm for their subject, provide supportive and timely academic support for the students and, for longer term contracts, plan lessons, provide feedback and assess student progress.

Our Key Stage 3 schemes of work are broadly based on the English National Curriculum and lead to (I)GCSEs in Years 10 and 11. In Key Stage 5, students study the IB Diploma Programme, or a combined BTEC and IB courses programme. Experience teaching at IB or BTEC would be advantageous. We would, however, also welcome applications from those newer to the teaching profession - St Andrews would be a great school to develop as a professional early in your career.

At St Andrews, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school, and have an excellent reputation for supporting children with special educational needs. Experience of teaching children with dyslexia, mild autism, ADHD etc. would be very good prior experience for a teacher wishing to join our team. Our Mission Statement commits us to meeting ‘all the needs of the individual learner’, and this applies equally to those students targeting the very highest grades at both IGCSE and IB.

St Andrews is committed to ensuring the safety of all our students, and expects all staff to share the same commitment (see our Child Protection Code of Conduct). All staff need at least two references, including one from the most recent employer, a ten year criminal record check and relevant regional Prohibition Order/DBS checks.

If you would like to apply for a position at our school please complete the application process through Jobtrain, accessible via the Nord Anglia Education website: http://www.nordangliaeducation.com/careers/

Should you required any further information, please email recruitment@standrews.ac.th.
