25 teacher mistakes / rules to teach by

Postbox letter from James

25 teacher mistakes to learn and live by - especially if you are a teacher in Thailand.

Be honest with yourself

Every teacher has made mistakes - including you!

I've read many teaching blogs down the years and I generally enjoy hearing about other people's experiences. However there is one thing I'd like to see more of - honesty

Tips for the newbie teacher

Keep these points in mind and you'll cope far better

Don't get stressed by the job. Remember that you are merely the latest in a long line of farang teachers who have come and gone. There isn't enough time to make any real progress with students' English so just try and make it fun for them.

How to be a successful teacher in Thailand

There is little correlation between a successful teacher and a good teacher

Success in Thailand is an easy (but often lengthy) process of self discovery. But it starts with finding out what is expected of you from everyone you come into contact with and being able to adjust your behavior to provide those things.
