CELTA@

Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)

So you can see why it's referred to simply as the CELTA (formerly the CTEFLA).  This course is run in over 120 centres worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the most important forms of training in TEFL.  ECC (Thailand), the longest established teacher training centre in Thailand, offers the internationally recognised CELTA course at three locations in Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

Course fee

The course fee is US$1,500, making ECC (Thailand) one of the cheapest places in the world to become a qualified ESL Teacher. Train then Teach

ECC (Thailand) offers one of the world’s most competitively priced Cambridge CELTA courses at its Siam Square branch in the commercial heart of Bangkok, in the rose of the north – Chiang Mai and at its Phuket branch on the tropical island of Phuket.

On completion of the course, successful CELTA candidates at ECC (Thailand) will be given the option of a guaranteed 1-year contract (guaranteed salary 35,000 Baht per month and BUPA medical insurance) at one of ECC (Thailand)’s many schools throughout Thailand.

On completion of the contract you will be refunded half of the CELTA course fee (US$750), in addition to the 12,000 baht end-of-contract bonus.

During your contract you will also be entitled to participate in ECC (Thailand)’s short teacher development courses (Teaching English to Young -Learners or Teaching Business English)

Many former graduates of the internationally recognized ECC (Thailand) CELTA course have gone on to find work not only at prestigious locations in Thailand, such as the British Council, but throughout the world.
