SMI follows the British curriculum. It is divided into two separate schools under one principal. English, mathematics and science are core subjects. Thai is
taught from Kindergarten 2(K2). French, Mandarin and Japanese are elective subjects taught
from Year 3 until Year 6. |

Early Childhood Education:
Toddler, Nursery, Kindergarten This section utilizes a variety of
teaching methods, it concentrates on the process of learning with each class integrated
into the entire curriculum to help young children develop socially, intellectually,
physically and spiritually. Above all else, SMI strives to be a school children find
enjoyable and interesting. One(K1) until
Year Two(Y2) K1 - K2 provides children with the skills needed to master essential subjects
(reading, writing and arithmetic being the most obvious examples) in primary school. Y1 -
Y2 incorporate all the major components of the British Curriculum with technology being
considered a core subject. |

- Primary: Y3 - Y6 focuses on all the
core subjects of the UK National Curriculum with specialist
instruction in music, PE and
other subjects. Foreign languages such as Japanese, Mandarin and French are part of the
mainstream curriculum.
