System / Curriculum |
- Harrow International School follows the British system of
education. This is based on the English National Curriculum and leads to qualifications in
IGCSE at age 15/16 years and A level examinations at age 17/18 years.
- Harrow prides itself on the care and direction that is given to its
pupils. Each individual comes under the guidance of a Tutor who monitors the pupils'
academic and social development on a regular basis. Parents are encouraged to participate
in their child's development.
- In addition to the core subjects of English, Mathematics and
Science, pupils study a broad curriculum which includes Modern Languages, Information
Technology, History, Geography, Music, Art and Physical Education. From the age of nine
all pupils are taught in specialist subject classrooms; this includes laboratory work and
information technology. Supporting the strong academic traditions of the school is a wide
range of extra-curricular activities including sports, cultural opportunities and
expeditions.
- All children must be fluent in the English language. Those pupils
for whom English is a second language will be required to sit an assessment test. EFL
classes are incorporated into each pupil's timetable where necessary.
- Harrow International School runs a special Intensive EFL Summer
School for prospective pupils. Details are available from the Registrar.

| Level |
The School is organised into three sections:- (a) Pre-Prep pupils aged 3-8 years of age
(b) Prep School pupils aged 8-11 years of age
(c) Senior School pupils aged 11-18 years |
| Facilities |
- Specialist classrooms for each subject
- Exceptional library provision
- Fully equipped science laboratories
- Computers and information technology equipment throughout the
school
- Well equipped drama, music and physical education departments
- Harrow offers both day and boarding school. Boarding at Harrow
International School allows each pupil to develop fully his or her talents and skills, and
takes away the weariness of travelling through the Bangkok traffic. Pupils may either go
home at the end of school on Friday, or benefit from a weekend programme of supervised
activities.
- Residential facilities are provided in individually designed,
modern rooms. These are furnished to a high standard enabling your child to be looked
after in a safe and friendly environment. House parents live alongside the pupils to
ensure that the individual's needs are catered for. The quality of pastoral care is
exceptional and a fully qualified matron is also in residence.
