Knowledge plus is both a language school and educational counselling organisation.  It was established in 1995 and has one branch that is situated in Bangkok city centre.

A handfull of full time teachers are employed.  Minimum requirements are a degree, RSA/Trinity College TEFL certificate and previous teaching experience.  Teachers are well paid, receiving over 40,000 Baht for 80 or under hours teaching a month.  In addition the company provides a work permit/12 month visa, medical insurance and holidays.   

Around 15 part time teachers are employed, the minimum requirements being the same as for those working full time.  In house classes are paid at a rate of 400 Baht+ / hour and outside work at 500Baht+ / hour.

The core business of Knowledge Plus can be divided into 3 main areas: 

(i) pre-overseas preparation courses, i.e. examination preparation, academic writing etc. 
(ii) training for corporate clients at the premises of Knowledge Plus in Silom or off-site at company premises as required.
(iii) educational counselling

I have recently moved here from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop the corporate business though I have been associated with KP since it began 5 years ago and undertaken a lot of the specialist teaching for them.

We are likely to be expanding this year and will be looking for quality teaching staff in the near future.
