This school was set up in 1994 and provides both English and Computer courses to Thai students at several schools in the  Bangkok area.  The company's head office is in a southern suburb of Bangkok.  They employ between 40 and 60 full time teachers and 20 to 40 part time teaching staff.

In addition to the above 'branded' schools there are many other  schools associated with Cambridge who do not use the Cambridge World Logo.  Some are only training agencies and computer schools .  They are associated with all the Smart Training Schools,  several of which are in central Bangkok . Furthermore they are  also very heavily involved with Pearson Education, who, as you may be aware, are a division of the parent company of Longman the publishers .

Taking the above schools into account Cambridge World, in their various guises, employ over 200 hundred full time and 300 part time teachers in over 40 schools nationwide.

The full time staff receive 23 - 26,000 Baht/month.  Cambridge will arrange a work permit and 12 month visa, for which the teacher must pay.   In return teachers are expected to teach 100 - 120 hours per month.

Part time teachers receive 200 - 225 Baht/hour for in-house classes and 300 - 350 Baht/hour for outside work.

The minimum qualifications for both full and part time teachers is a TEFL certificate or previous teaching experience.

Cambridge is a school totally run by a native speaker with native speakers in mind . The director and owner was a teacher who understands the trials and tribulations that face teachers in Thailand.

The director at this school has also been there done it seen it was in the movie , therefore bullshit doesn't baffle his brain . We look after our teachers as we expect them to look after us.

All salaries are paid promptly for part time on a Sunday for full time on the 5th of each month.

Cambridge Schools usually have between 12 or 14 classrooms per school. All have all facilities supplied TVs Videos Cd players Stereo Systems.  All teaching materials are supplied by us not you.

We will give you a contract for 1 or 3 years it's up to you . We also give all part time teachers a contract too. Salaries stated are only for a probationary period of 6 months there after the salary will be raised depending on your abilities and qualifications. Most teachers will start with a basic salary of between 23,500 baht up to 30,000 baht this will depend on your experience and your qualifications. All salaries are dependent on your abilities and qualifications.
